  • Shade Components: Guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 5 years from the date of purchase.
  • Motors and Electric Equipment: Covered under a separate manufacturer’s limited warranty for 5 years.
  • Screen Fabrics: Warranty periods vary up to 5 years, depending on the fabric choice. Warranty typically covers fabric replacement only; labor and freight are excluded. Clear vinyl fabric is not covered by warranty.

Exclusions:
The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from acts of nature (hurricanes, wind, snow, rain, etc.).
  • Misuse, improper maintenance, vandalism, or adding heavy loads to the system.
  • Animal damage or normal wear and tear.
  • Systems damaged due to lack of cleaning or maintenance.
  • Sun and wind sensor failures caused by severe weather.

Care and Cleaning Guidelines

Temperature Restrictions:

  • Never raise or lower your shades if the temperature is 40°F or colder.
    • If shades are UP when the temperature drops, leave them UP until it warms.
    • If shades are DOWN, leave them DOWN until it warms.
  • Operating shades in cold conditions can cause material damage.

Manual Operation:

  • Avoid over-extending the shade when using a manual hand crank. Stop turning the crank as soon as the shade reaches the ground.

Side Channel Cleaning:

  • Wash the interior of side channels with water and remove dirt once per year (monthly in coastal areas). Avoid using petroleum-based products or WD-40 as they can damage the track and shade.

Insect Screen and Sheer Fabric Care:

  • At the end of the season, gently brush screens with a soft-bristled brush to remove dirt. Use light pressure to prevent damage.

Clear Vinyl Fabric Care:

  • Wash clear vinyl fabric 2-3 times a year to prevent dirt and smog buildup.
  • Use a neutral detergent with water and a soft sponge. Avoid excessive pressure to prevent deformation.
  • DO NOT use abrasive sponges, detergents, or alcohol as these can make the material opaque.

Maintenance Recommendations

We recommend professional maintenance every three years to:

  • Clean tracks and side channels.
  • Treat fabrics for durability.
  • Remove dirt, debris, and other build-up.
